My Story

Hi, I'm Bonny. I am a UK based artist, wife and mum of three. I paint plants and nature, inspired by Oxford, ancient woodlands and my South African heritage. My work aims to give a sense of connection, contemplation and joy. 

I draw inspiration from the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movements, and from a deep belief that beauty and function belong at the heart of everyday life. 

Across cultures and history, women’s making has mattered, because it transforms the ordinary into something meaningful. Even the simplest rituals, like making tea, having friends for a meal become invitations of belonging when they’re accompanied by beautiful things. I believe in community, humanity, kindess and inclusivity.And I hope my work helps people feel they are celebrated.

As an experienced graphic designer, I have an affinity with design. As a problem solver, I love the predictability of a pattern. And as an obsessive fabric collector, I love any piece of cloth. Printing my art on textiles feels like the most natural extension of my work, offering beauty in the everyday and making the perfect gift
